Cistus Incanus – a small shrub that grows on soils rich in magnesium in southern European countries, the Canary Islands and many others in countries with a hot climate, where it has been known for its healing properties for two thousand years.It is also extremely popular in Africa and the Middle East.Cistus Incanus is one of the oldest “herbal” plants with documented effects.Cistus is one of the richest sources of polyphenols – i.e. compounds with antioxidant properties and supporting the human immune system. The compounds contained in it glue viruses and bacteria together, preventing them from combining with the cell membrane.It is most often used as a remedy against colds, flu, angina and inflammation. Their content in the daily diet helps prevent the most dangerous forms of cancer, including lung, stomach, intestinal, esophageal, pancreas, liver, mammary gland, prostate and skin cancer.Polyphenols also inhibit compounds responsible for the development of cancer in the body.

Cistus – according to the literature, cistus herb has properties that were used to alleviate the following ailments:

A METHOD OF PREPARING:

Pour boiling water over 1 heaped teaspoon, wait 8-10 minutes, strain. Drink one glass a day. Drinking steamed cistus every day, it cleanses the body, delays the aging process, supports the bacterial flora, increases bone density, and flushes out toxins and heavy metals. It has a slightly herbal flavor and tastes best with honey, lemon, raspberry juice or agave syrup. Cistus compresses are used to treat Lyme disease. For use in Lyme disease: about 10 g (3 tablespoons) of Cistus herb pour 300-320 ml of water and boil for 5 minutes, set aside for 20 minutes and strain. The decoction obtained in this way is used externally (compresses, rinses, washing) and internally, 80 – 100 ml (literature) 3-4 times a day.
