What is a mandala and what does it mean?
Mandala is a symbol of the universe that allows access to the spiritual world. The word “mandala” comes from Sanskrit and means “circle”. In Hinduism and Buddhism, this symbol is used in various rituals that shape our inner spirituality. The mandala is always round, but it may also contain other shapes inside, such as geometric figures, plant elements, feathers, stones and others. We create mandalas to support our concentration, they can also serve as a tool for spiritual growth. They are also used to designate a sacred space and support meditation. By creating mandalas, our body and mind greatly benefit because we develop our imagination and our eye-hand coordination, which helps us focus attention and concentration. While creating, we calm down and relax, which allows us to express our feelings and thoughts
That’s why it’s worth making unusual Masurian Mandalas, which can be a great decoration for our home or an amazing Masurian souvenir. Everything we find on our mandala are treasures straight from our Mother Nature: flowers, feathers, leaves, stones, sand, pieces of wood, shells and much more. The variety of these subtle forms continues to delight. When creating a mandala, we give it a special intention to attract what is important to us. Most of the mandala’s elements come from Masuria, some also come from my travels. You will receive all the tools and accessories for creating mandalas at the workshop.
